Faux Spring

I’ve been sorting through my photos as of late, trying to find something special for a friend of mine, and I stumbled across all our Spring photos of things blooming, of fruit hanging off trees, of us eating out of our lovely garden. So my plan today was to walk with a friend, start our seedlings, and prepare bee equipment for the up and coming bees. And it has begun SNOWING!
I just want you to know that I am very displeased at Mother Nature for this. I understand the ebbs and flows of a woman’s cycle and how her moods can change in an instant. I liken this to the weather on Pender, but seriously! Our daffodils are shivering! Our crocuses and snow-drops are arguing in their beds about foot room, our chives need a serious hair-cut and they are head-banging with the best of the herbs. And the snow is dry enough to be puffs of styrofoam and it continues to fall! The nerve!

Yes, isn’t this flower pretty? This is what is blooming right now. Now imagine it encrusted in snow! No, I am not going out there to take a picture of it! It’s cold! Even the cats are huddled inside, near the wood stove.
Anyone else want to sign a petition of let Mother Nature know that she’s not allowed to ruin our precious weekends with her foul moods? Now she has my foul mood to contend with!

I think it was us that upset Mother Nature first….. I’d imagine she’s none to happy with the polluted waters, massive land fills and shrinking glaciers. I don’t think I want to see her stern face
But she hasn’t given up on us and she will help your garden grow, I’m sure of it. Looks like you had a productive weekend anyway! Nice picnic on the boat!!
