1 year in the making

Happy Birthday Blog!

I’ve seen other blogs take the first line from the first post of the month and highlight it in an anniversary post. I just compiled a list like this but unfortunately I do not find it very interesting. I think I may have to improve my first lines… Or perhaps I should have tried the last line of each entry.
Here it is anyhow for your reading pleasure.
March 2009: Welcome, dear reader, to my simple life.
April: Ben Franklin said that the only things certain in life were death and taxes.
May: What makes us neighbours? A person who lives near another?
June: The Giant Pumpkin seeds from Laura-Jane have sprouted.
July: We are getting ready to go on holidays and what do I spend my time doing? Plucking my eyebrows.
August: I went for a girl’s weekend this weekend.
September: So, we bought a boat.
October: There is a flock of sheep on this farm we are caretaking.
November: My Grandpa is 86 and learning how to make soup from scratch.
December: On the First day of Advent, My true love gave to me, Double Pointed Knitting Needles!!!!
January: I know that after New Years I’m always trying to figure out how to properly use our Champagne splurge left-overs.
February: I am pleased to report that I checked on my last hive yesterday, the one that is far afield, and it is doing well.
March 2010: Just thought I’d share moments from my good day with you.
So, after blogging for a year, and skimming through some of my past articles, perhaps there is a little more material on the ever-expanding internet about beekeeping, about baking, about failed sewing attempts, and about attempting a more rural life. And maybe that’s enough. Maybe there doesn’t need to be more. What do you think readers? Is a year enough? Is there more to be told?
Should I change my focus?
I’d love to have whatever feedback you would like to give.
Thanks ahead of time as I consider what direction I should take this blog or if I shall leave it at full-stop.

AH! Don’t stop!
You cannot stop! If only for my own selfish reasons, you must not stop because mostly, I feel as though we are having a little tea together, over the inter-space, when I read your blog. It helps bridge our geographic distance, and I wish for that to continue as the space inevitably becomes LARGER!
Love you.

oh, as for the direction of your blog… I have been contemplating similar things these days. Be real, continue to let me in on your daily life, as day-to-day as it may seem to you, I am interested my friend
As always, I love the pictures.

Please don’t stop blogging. It is the 3rd page I look at everyday when I wake up in the morning. The first two are email and banking….sorry. But then I relax and I read the comings and goings on Pender and I feel closer to you. Please don’t stop. It gives me something worth reading on the internet, it makes me feel warm and cozy or contemplative or something else entirely. It makes me want to bake or save a bee that is trapped in the window at work instead of letting it die a slow death or letting a co-worker kill it. Please don’t stop blogging. It’s interesting to me!

Please don’t stop blogging! You are doing well and I’ve come to rely on your posts like my chamomile tea, my woolie slippers and my flannel reading quilt. Comfort reading and I love it! Continue to bring us authenticity, an exploring spirit, joie de vive and your unique and refreshing writing style. Please don’t stop!
